Chiefs show Huard, Surtain, and Edwards the door

Two weeks ago the Chiefs cut ties with a large group of coaches, after firing head coach Herm Edwards.  This week, GM Scott Pioli dropped the 'guillotine' on the players. 

Veterans including quarterback Damon Huard, cornerback Patrick Surtain, tight end Mike Merritt, and linebacker Donnie Edwards' all saw their time in Kansas City come to an end.

The youngest team in the NFL just got younger.  In addition, this move undoubetdly opened up even more room under the salary cap.
