Nothing like waiting until the last minute to sign those rookie contracts. The Chiefs like most NFL teams are scrambling, in the final days before camp to sign their 2009 rookie's.
The Chiefs were able to sign their third-round draft pick defensive end (Purdue), Alex Magee, before heading to training camp tomorrow.
According to the
Kansas City Star's website, Magee agreed to a four-year deal. The rest of the details of the contract were not available.
Currently, the Chiefs' other top draft pick, first-rounder (#3 overall) defensive end, Tyson Jackson still has not signed yet. In fact, at the time of this post there has only been 5 of the 32 first-round draft picks to sign a contract prior to camps opening up this week.
Expect the flood gates of rookie contract signings to open up over the next 3 days.
