Vick finds home in Philly
By: SCUBA

After almost two years in prison, Michael Vick will become the backup quarterback to Donovan McNabb with the Eagles.
The deal is a two year deal with the Eagles. In the first year, Vick will receive $1.6 million, with an option for the second year where he could earn $5.2 million.
It was understood that Vick needed to go to an organization that was structured well enough to take on the baggage and the media blitz that will accompany this signing. Philadelphia fits that bill, however they're set at QB. So, what does this mean for McNabb?
What it means is that the Eagles have another weapon to use in their offense. McNabb doesn't seem to be worried at all about Vick being a threat to his starting role. He stated in a press conference earlier today that he [Vick] is no threat. The only threat he has to worry about is the one that those crazy Philly fans will throw at him if McNabb and the Eagles starts the season off slowly. As McNabb knows all to well, those fans will turn on him the minute they smell trouble.
I really don't see that happening though. I see Vick in more "wildcat" situations. Andy Reid would be smart to incorporate a few dump-off passes to Vick, much like what they do to Westbrook in their West Coast offense. If McNabb and Reid can find a way to get Vick in the open field, the Eagles could be deadly. They have been without a primary receiver since T.O. Having Vick and Westbrook in the could make up for that.
