Chiefs Improve Line By Signing Lilja
By: SCUBA

Ex-Colts offensive lineman Ryan Lilja agreed to terms today with the Kansas City Chiefs. The contract is said to be a three-year deal according to the
KC Star.Roughly twenty-four hours after Lilja
visited with the Chiefs organization he had already agree to become a Chief. I'll give GM Scott Pioli this, when he sets his sight on a free agent he gets them.
The first big free agent signing was running back Thomas Jones. Now, the Chiefs immediately improve their offensive line with the signing of this 28-year old veteran with Super Bowl experience.
Although, Lilja failed a physical which led to his release from the Colts I still see him being an improvement on the O-Line. I don't see the Chiefs organization signing a player to a three-year deal if they thought his "failed physical" was going to be too big of a risk.
Lilja will make the most sense at Right Guard for the Chiefs, which was a definite weakness on a below-average line.
