Which sports teams do you most follow?
New York Yankees, New York Giants, Rutgers Scarlet Knights

RE: World Series Poll & Schedule
Yes, I noticed that was a problem. I am trying to fix it now.
RE: Chiefs Cut Larry Johnson
It will be interesting to see which team picks him up. This is another case of athlete turned jerk. I think LJ has a few more productive years in him. He just needs to shut up and play. He will help a team somewhere.
RE: Heisman is a Hoax, This Popularity Contest Needs an Overhaul
I understand your point about Ingram running behind that line, but that can be said about any good running back. You are only as good as your offensive line. No offensive line = no blocking = no rushing attack.

I personally think Suh should have won, but any of the candidates were worthy. Nobody was a clear favorite, thats why they gave it to Ingram. He probably won it with his performance in the SEC Championship game.
RE: Jim Haslett's hiring raises questions
Great little article. I dont think Haslett was the guy, although I am glad to see the Redskins signed him so my Giants won't. I am kind of hoping for Pepper Johnson to join the Giants actually. I agree with you, Haslett has done nothing.
RE: Romeo Crennel Accepts Chiefs Offer
That is quite the staff they have put together in KC. Lots of experience and talent in those big guys. I did think the Chiefs had some very good talent on that team and I couldnt figure out why they were so bad. This staff should help out.
RE: Now what for the Mets? Pineiro and Molina sign elsewhere
I do think a pitcher or two will end up in a Mets uniform. You are right, some players seem to be staying away from the Mets right now. We shall see.
RE: Top ten sports ticket values: Washington DC
What is World Team Tennis?
RE: Why Sam Bradford?
I don't think its a terrible idea. Injury issues aside, he is a good quarterback. You can get O-Lineman later in the draft.
RE: Definitive news on Jason Campbell, Okung and other tidbits
I think this offseason could get wild. So many things can happen. I do think the Redskins will pick a QB but may wait for the second round. I dont see a true can't miss QB in this draft, so why not wait. Get a big nasty OL with the #4 pick. And thats coming from a Giants fan.
RE: Polamalu Super Bowl Commercial Released
Interesting find Steve.
RE: The OchoCinco and TO experiment, Lane Kiffin starting young, and LT done as a Charger?
Now that would be interesting. TO and Ocho on the same team.
RE: The Who Leaves The Super Bowl Halftime Show Wanting Sexy Back
I am with you on this topic. That was a terrible halftime show. The lighting and stage was kind of cool, but the performance was horrible. The NFL really needs to re-think this.
RE: Knicks Setting Up Trade For Tracy McGrady
I don't understand this deal for the Knicks. Doesn't really do them much good, other then another expiring contract I believe.
RE: What happened to the Olympics?
I agree that NBC is pretty bad with their announcing and Costas is way to bland for me. However, I do love some of these events. Snowboarding is a great event to watch. Especially when the halfpipe starts.
RE: LaDainian Tomlinson Is Not Going To Kansas City
I don't really see a great fit for LT anywhere. I'm on the fence about him being a Giant. I would like to see them get rid of Brandon Jacobs though, so if that happens, LT could work. I could see him in Washington where Dan Snyder loves to make the big splash and Clinton Portis is just about finished.
RE: NFL Free Agency: Let The Over Spending Begin
I am shocked at that deal. I really didn't think many teams would go over board with contracts despite the uncapped year. They need to be careful because it may hurt them once the new bargaining agreement is settled. I was expecting to see a couple big money over the top deals but overall I didnt think it would be as crazy as most people think.
RE: Thomas Jones To Visit Chiefs Monday
It would be a good signing for the Chiefs. Jones can still play and would be a great veteran to work with Charles.
RE: New Era to sponsor Pinstripe Bowl
Andrew - I have to disagree with you. I think it will consistently be a good game. If I am correct, I believe last years game would have been Rutgers vs Texas A&M. I'd like to see games like that. You can't expect a brand new bowl to get top teams.
RE: Division Realignment????
I don't know what I think about the realignment proposals. I do feel bad some teams like Baltimore sometimes, but thats the way it is. North Carolina would be a good place for a baseball team, but I am not for expansion.
RE: Your 2010 New York Mets are....(Part 1)
I have to disagree on the outfield. If Martinez is on the roster, he needs to start and play. He can not sit the bench. He will either start in center or start in Triple-A. Most likely Triple-A
RE: The Great Fifth Debate
Should be Phil Hughes, no question about it
RE: The Great Fifth Debate
What makes you say he can't handle the pressure of pitching every five days? Two years ago, he was pitching a no hitter until an injury cost him the season. Last year he was brought up as a starting pitcher and other then one game that he got rocked by the Orioles, his numbers were very good.
RE: Welcome to the Brain Trust!
Welcome to SPN. Looking forward to reading your stuff.
RE: NY Fan's fantasy baseball tips part 3, sleepers and rooks
I dont really know how can you call Cano, Zobrist, and Beckham sleepers. Especially Cano. He is arguably a top 4 second baseman in the league. Thats not really someone you can call a sleeper. Also Zobrist and Beckham shouldnt be referred to as sleepers either. They have both proven they can put up big numbers and did so as recent as last year.
RE: Olsen present for first voluntary workout
Good Stuff. Keep it up!
RE: Switch Pitcher !
I thought the batter was the one who had to choose which side he would bat from before the pitcher did.
RE: McNabb Doesn't Want To Be A Raider But Who Does?
McNabb always has and always will be ba cry baby. He needs to realize the team does not want him. Philadelphia does not want him anymore.
RE: Andrew Bogut Shatters Elbow [if you're squemish you might way to steer clear of this]
OMG! That was nasty!
RE: Breaking News: Redskins add McNabb and raise expectations
As a Giants fan, I hate McNabb. This is a big move for the Redskins however and does make them contenders. The NFC East just got even crazier!
RE: Yankees Vs. Red Sox Opening Day 2010
Another game in which Girardi handles pitching staff pourly. Check out my blog later today for a recap.
RE: Goodbye old friend, The Demolition of Texas Stadium
Welcome to the SPN format Kody. I know the feeling. I had the same type of feelings about Yankee Stadium.
RE: Demoting Jacobs could be a mistake
I don't see anything wrong with this decision. Jacobs has not been good at all. See what Davis can give you. Sometimes you bring guys up they give a boost to the entire lineup. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but you will never know unless you give it a try.
RE: Ike Davis Mania Sweeps NY - Updated
Davis is here and it's all on him whether or not he stays. Jacobs was not sent down due to injury. Davis is here to show what he's got. If he hits the ball he will stay at first base every day, even when Murphy comes back. Don't expect Jacobs to be back at all unless Davis does not pan out. Jacobs is not even on the roster, so how can you say he is above him on the depth chart?
RE: YouTubing Bears draft picks
I did not understand the Bears draft at all. The Wright pick was a good one as he will certainly help out their secondary. But after that, I don't see much impact from this years draft.
RE: Brian Westbrook Works Out For St. Louis Rams
That would indeed be a pretty good tandem at running back if he goes to STL. Intersting.
RE: Post Spring College Football Top 25 rankings
I don't think Boise would be a fit in the Big Ten. And I am so sick of Notre Dame. People cater to them all the time. They should be forced to pick a conference and stick to it. Not this crap with them being a Big East basketball team but nothing else.
RE: JaMarcus Russell To Be Cut By Raiders
Yes Russell can be called a reach & a bust. He did not deserve to be the #1 overall pick in that draft. Not with the other players that were in it that year. He is done. If the Raiders cut him, I would be shocked if any team picks him up.
RE: The American League bullys it's way to an All Star DH
Forget tradition, position players and hitters made the big leagues because they could hit. Pitchers made the big leagues because they could pitch. Stick to that! DH should be used all the time.

Especially in the All-Star game.
RE: Boston College's Mark Herzlich is beating cancer and is ready to return to action.
I agree this story has been well publicized but it never gets old. It is a great story and I hope this great young kid continues to fit and get back to the game he loves.
RE: New York Mets: Post Phillies Thoughts
Wilson thank you for the comments and for stopping by to read my post. Not a good game to be at as a Mets fan, especially as your first game. If you o get a chance to get to Citi Field, definitely make the trip. It's a very nice ballpark.
RE: 49ers 2010 Draft Grades
I agree with you. San Fran had an excellent draft.
RE: Welcome to Eureka 49ers
I agree...SF had a very good draft!
RE: A Thank You To Derek Jeter For The Past 15 Years
Thank you Kate. Glad you appreciated this post.
RE: Big Week for Double G Sports Fantasy Baseball Team
I will try to go easier on you next time!
RE: Hype or Die: Pat Barry
Welcome to SPN. I am looking forward to learning more about MMA.
RE: Are The Yankees Eyeing Cliff Lee and Lance Berkman?
No I do not agree. We do not need Cliff Lee. Vazquez is coming around and as our fifth starter, I am fine with him.

I would take Berkman but would not give up nearly as much as you suggest. In those two deals, you are giving up a lot of young talent.

RE: The great Chicago fire sale could benefit the Mets
I think a deal for Peavy could work out but I would be a little hesitant to give up to much. Peavy was dominant in the NL but has struggled in the AL at times since returning from injury. Question is, is it the injury or just pitching in the AL?

Another option I think the Mets should look into is Ted Lilly. Think the Cubs would trade him? If so, I think the Mets should attempt to trade for him. He likes New York and is a solid pitcher.
RE: If Pau could sell shoes, he would be MVP and the Celtics run out of gas
Agreed on all points. The Celtics ran out of gas toward the end.

Gasol should be the MVP.

Great series however!
RE: NBA Rumors: Phil Jackson Puts Chris Paul And Lebron In Cleveland
And the crazy NBA offseason continues...
RE: The crazyness of the NBA offseason and 3 predictions from the Porch
David Lee is a free agent, isnt he? Although wouldnt be all that surprising to see the Knicks re-sign him then trade him. They are dumb enough to do that. I wish the Knicks would figure this all out. The NBA would be so much better with the Knicks being a competitive team.

I agree with you about Boozer. The guy goes about his business and is underrated.
RE: NCAA troubles for the UNC Football team and how it could affect the ACC 2010 season.
Very interesting look. As a Rutgers season ticket holder and the UNC game being a big game for us this season, I will be watching this closely. Please keep the updates coming.
RE: Mets and The Trade Deadline
I know you want the Mets to make a splash before the deadline, but seriously think about it and who could they possibly give up to make that splash?

Is trading Francoeur or Oliver Perez making a splash? No. Is trading Castillo making a splash? No.

You can't trade Beltran now, who would want him? You can't trade Reyes right now because you wont get top value for him. You won't trade Wright.

So who else do the Mets have to give?
RE: The "Where Gregg Be?" contest: July 26 - August 17!
Love it! You might want to put this week's clue in your post though for those that missed the show.
RE: Shields Shows Best Stuff vs. Yanks in 3-0 Win
I'd still take Sabathia in a big game any day!
RE: Brett Favre Has Begun The Annual Retirement Talk
It's like the boy that cried wolf. After a while you just don't give a damn!
RE: NYY Win Just As Big As A-Rod's 600th
Yes, he got caught cheating. Did it help keep him healthy and in the lineup? Sure. Did that help him hit the ball squarely? No.

Cheating or not, you still have to be extremely talented to accomplish this. I am not at all saying what he did was ok, but let's not underestimate this achievement.
RE: Strasburg: Do not sell
Definitely agree!
RE: Thoughts From Pre-Season: Ravens Look Good
Could not agree with you more. I was telling someone last week, the Ravens are my pick for the AFC this season. I love this team. Flacco is turning into a star. With Boldin now in the mix, the offense is dangerous.
RE: Will Carmelo Anthony bring his talents to Broadway?
I know I am definitely hoping Carmelo brings his game to the Big Apple!
RE: The word on Linebacker Morgan Carter as he transfers from Rutgers to Georgia Tech
Thank you for the opportunity to talk with you about Rutgers transfer Morgan Carter.
RE: College Football Preview: Big Ten
I could see any of the top four winning the Big Ten this year.
RE: A Quick Note and 49ers 53-man Roster Projection
Gald to see you have decided to stay here at Sports Page Network. We truly are happy and enjoy your work. I am a Giants fan but do think the 49ers have a good team this season.
RE: Fantasy Football Draft Strategy
Love fantasy drafts! Any sport! Bring it on.
